Peugeot E-T16 turns a rally legend electric

Peugeot has taken its fire-breathing rally hero and handed it three electric motors.

The Peugeot E-T16 Concept made its debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Peugeot Sport helped develop the electric hyperhatch, the most powerful Peugeot ever built. Three motors deliver 816 hp, with one on the front axle and two at the rear. Torque vectoring shares the drive according to grip, and 100 km/h arrives in 2.5 seconds. The concept carries an 85 kWh battery and weighs about 1,600 kg. Its Winchester Matte Grey paint honours the 205 Turbo 16. That car won back-to-back World Rally Championship titles in 1985 and 1986. Inside, steer-by-wire and the Hypersquare wheel preview the next Peugeot E-208.
