Three riders, one storm and no charging stops: Zero went the distance.
Zero Motorcycles has earned a Guinness World Records title with its Zero DS electric motorcycle. Rider Jelle Verstaen covered 436.5 km on a single charge across southern France. The route ran from the French-Italian Alps to the Mediterranean coast, with stretches ridden overnight. A severe storm brought torrential rain and gale-force crosswinds over the final leg in the Camargue. The bike used its standard 15.6 kWh battery plus a 3.6 kWh Power Tank. The ride beat the previous record of just under 311 km by more than 40 per cent. Teammates on the SR/S and DSR/X covered 350 km and 384 km. Zero announced the record in October 2026.
