VinFast Brings EV Charging to Your Door

Al Tayer Motors and PlusX Electric have launched the UAE’s first at-your-door EV charging service, giving VinFast owners a new way to charge without leaving home.

What does the service actually give VinFast owners?

Al Tayer Motors has introduced a mobile EV charging service for VinFast customers in the UAE. The service is a collaboration with Dubai-based PlusX Electric. Together, they bring charging support directly to the customer’s location.

Customers access the service through a dedicated app. They can register, book a session, track the charger’s arrival, and receive live updates. The entire process runs within one digital journey. Retail lease customers get doorstep charging included in their lease rates. Other customers can purchase credit packages based on how much they charge.

How does PlusX Electric support drivers beyond a single charge?

PlusX Electric does more than deliver a one-off charge. The company also provides charger installation for homes and businesses, emergency roadside support, on-site charging, and jump-start assistance. All of these are available around the clock across Dubai and the wider UAE.

The breadth of that offering matters to prospective EV buyers. Many drivers want to know that support exists before they commit to an electric vehicle. As a result, PlusX Electric’s round-the-clock coverage addresses one of the most common concerns in the category. In addition, the installation service means customers can set up a permanent home charging solution at the same time.

Which VinFast models does Al Tayer Motors sell in the UAE?

Al Tayer Motors is the official VinFast distributor in the UAE. The range currently available includes the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. Consequently, customers across different budget and size preferences have multiple options within the brand.

VinFast vehicles sold through Al Tayer Motors come with a 10-year or 200,000-kilometre limited warranty. The battery warranty goes further, covering 10 years with no kilometre limit. Therefore, long-term ownership concerns around battery degradation have a clear commercial answer built into the purchase.

Why does at-your-door charging matter for EV adoption?

Convenience is one of the most cited reasons drivers hesitate before switching to an electric vehicle. Public charging infrastructure, however well-distributed, still requires drivers to plan around it. For example, a driver without home charging may find the daily routine of EV ownership more demanding than expected.

At-your-door charging shifts that dynamic. The service brings the charger to the customer, removing the need to locate a public point. For fleet operators, in particular, this reduces downtime and simplifies logistics. Al Tayer Motors says the service is designed for both private buyers and fleet users. Meanwhile, the UAE’s broader net zero agenda gives the initiative a policy context that extends beyond a single dealership launch.

How does this fit Al Tayer Motors’ wider EV strategy?

The charging service sits within Al Tayer Motors’ existing sales and after-sales network for VinFast in the UAE. The dealership has operated as the brand’s official distributor since signing the agreement with VinFast. However, this latest step goes beyond the traditional dealership model by extending support into the customer’s daily environment.

The combination of mobile charging, roadside assistance, digital booking, and long-term warranty cover gives VinFast ownership a more complete structure. As a result, the proposition is less dependent on public infrastructure than most EV offers in the region. For drivers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia considering an electric vehicle, the practical barriers to entry are lower than they were. The question for Al Tayer Motors is whether the service network can scale to meet demand as the VinFast range grows.
