MG Motor launches the MG ZS compact SUV in the GCC

MG Motor has officially launched the all-new MG ZS, a next-generation compact SUV designed specifically to meet the needs of contemporary urban dwellers. Capitalising on the success of its predecessor, this latest model not only enhances performance but also integrates advanced safety features and cutting-edge technology, all while maintaining an attractive price point.

Now available in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, the new MG ZS aims to capture the attention of young professionals and families seeking a stylish yet practical SUV for their daily commutes and weekend adventures.

In terms of power and performance, the MG ZS offers two versatile engine options tailored to different driving preferences. The first is a 1.5-litre engine producing 112 horsepower, which is well-suited for smooth city cruising and offers fuel efficiency. The second option is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine generating 168 horsepower, crafted for those desiring a more exhilarating driving experience. Furthermore, the MG ZS includes three selectable Drive Modes, allowing for adaptability on both urban streets and open highways, ensuring a confident and engaging ride for all drivers.

Tom Lee, the Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East, underlined the model’s appeal: “With its bold styling, cutting-edge technology, and impressive performance, the MG ZS delivers exactly what today’s drivers seek—style, capability, and outstanding value. As one of our most successful models, the ZS continues to evolve while maintaining its strong price competitiveness. This latest generation also reflects MG’s commitment to innovation and our broader vision to integrate EV technologies into our global lineup.”

The exterior design of the MG ZS makes an impactful statement on the road, featuring a wide front grille, sleek ‘Hunter-Eye’ LED headlights, aerodynamic lines, and 18-inch alloy wheels that enhance its dynamic look. Inside the vehicle, the jet-wing-style console, ergonomic steering wheel, and options for premium fabric or leather seating contribute to a luxurious atmosphere. A panoramic sunroof adds to the spacious feel of the cabin, ensuring a comfortable environment for passengers.

Incorporating modern technology, the MG ZS is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for a seamless driving experience. Safety remains paramount with various driver assistance features designed to provide peace of mind. Highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control for smooth highway driving, Forward Collision Warning to help prevent accidents, Speed Assist and Hill Start Assist to enhance control on various terrains, and a 360-degree camera paired with parking sensors for easier manoeuvering in tight spaces.

The all-new MG ZS is currently available in MG showrooms across the GCC, with a starting price of AED 66,900. Customers can visit their nearest MG dealership to explore its advanced features and dynamic performance firsthand, including the opportunity to take a test drive.
