Ceer has revealed its first two electric cars, a sedan and an SUV that share the Exobot name. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman unveiled them on 21 September at Ceer’s factory in King Abdullah Economic City. Both models now have headline specifications, although prices remain under wraps.
What exactly has Ceer revealed?
Ceer showed two body styles at its world premiere. The Exobot sedan is 5.26 metres long and 1.43 metres tall. By comparison, the SUV is 5.02 metres long and 1.69 metres tall. Both share a 3.2-metre wheelbase, Electrek reported.
The finished cars build on the lighting and brake teasers Ceer released before launch. Both use large upward-opening “Shahin Wing” doors that span nearly three metres. In addition, there’s no pillar between the front and rear seats, as Reuters reported. Instead, high-strength materials provide the structural support.
How powerful are the Exobot models?
Ceer will launch each car as a First Edition with 850hp and 1,000Nm of torque. The sedan reaches 100km/h in 2.6 seconds, whereas the SUV takes 2.9 seconds. First Edition cars come in Harrat Grey or White Musk, with red brake calipers and numbered plaques, according to DriveArabia.
A higher-specification version goes further. It produces up to 1,111hp and 1,500Nm. As a result, Ceer claims 0-100km/h in 2.1 seconds for the sedan and 2.4 seconds for the SUV. Top speed is 250km/h for the sedan and 210km/h for the SUV.
Two partners supply the motors. Rimac Technology builds the rear drive unit, while Hyundai Transys provides the front motors, BMWBLOG reported. Meanwhile, Foxconn supplies the platform and electrical architecture, and BMW licenses engineering and manufacturing technology.
How far does it go on one charge?
Both cars use a 112kWh battery. Ceer quotes up to 670km of range for the sedan and up to 560km for the SUV. However, these are manufacturer figures measured on the older NEDC test cycle. NEDC usually gives higher numbers than the WLTP cycle, so real-world range is likely to be lower.
An 800-volt electrical architecture supports fast charging. For example, Ceer says a DC charger can take the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in under 30 minutes.

What’s it like inside?
A 48-inch curved display stretches across the dashboard, with a 10.4-inch central screen below for controls. In addition, Ceer fits steer-by-wire steering. This cuts steering rotation from 400 degrees to 160 degrees. Electrek also lists rear-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension and a camera mirror system on the SUV.
When can buyers get one, and what will it cost?
Ceer plans to start sales in Saudi Arabia in early 2027, Reuters reported. BMWBLOG reports that deliveries start in March 2027, although Ceer hasn’t confirmed an exact date.
Pricing remains the biggest gap. Ceer hasn’t announced a price for either model. Consequently, buyers can’t yet judge the Exobot’s value against established electric rivals.
Chief executive Jim DeLuca told Reuters the company would move carefully. “It only takes one mistake and you can kill a startup,” he said.
How does the Exobot fit Ceer’s wider plans?
The Exobot pair are the first two of seven vehicles Ceer plans over the next five years. Five more mainstream models should follow between 2028 and 2030. Ceer also plans to add plug-in hybrids and combustion-engine models alongside its EVs.
Ceer is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and Foxconn. Its factory can build up to 170,000 vehicles a year, according to Arab News. The company also targets 45 per cent local content by 2034.
Localisation work is gathering pace. In August, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority signed two agreements with Ceer. Together, they carry an expected economic impact of SAR 9.2 billion over ten years.
What happens next?
The reveal answers most of the questions the teasers left open, including range, power and charging speed. Still, price and independently tested range figures are missing. Those details will decide how the Exobot compares with rivals once sales begin in early 2027.
