Exeed plots wider UAE footprint with electrified model push

Exeed, the Chinese premium automotive brand, is expanding its retail network across the UAE and preparing a wave of new electrified models for the region. A forthcoming showroom in Sharjah will extend the brand’s physical presence beyond Dubai, targeting buyers across the Northern Emirates as appetite for premium, technology-led vehicles continues to grow.

What is Exeed bringing to the UAE market?

The brand has been building momentum across the UAE with a sequence of product launches and retail investments. Earlier this year, Exeed introduced the VX Super Hybrid, signalling a clear shift towards more efficient and intelligent powertrains. Two further models are planned for the second half of the year: a range-extended electric vehicle and a Super Hybrid, one arriving as a sedan and the other as an SUV.

Exeed is also preparing to launch the MX and a RX Matte Black edition. These additions follow the brand’s broader effort to cover more of the premium segment, giving buyers a wider choice of body styles and powertrain options. The pace of these announcements points to a considered product strategy rather than isolated market testing.

How is Exeed building its retail presence?

The Sharjah showroom represents the next step in a retail expansion that began taking shape in 2024. That year, Exeed opened a flagship showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, securing a visible position along one of the country’s most prominent automotive corridors. The Sharjah location builds on that foundation by reaching buyers who may find the Northern Emirates more accessible for day-to-day motoring decisions.

Retail presence matters in a market where customers increasingly want to experience premium interiors and technology in person before committing. Exeed appears to understand this. Each new showroom location extends the brand’s ability to convert interest into sales, particularly as new-energy vehicles require more explanation and demonstration than conventional petrol models.

What role does the Exlantix sub-brand play?

Alongside its core Exeed lineup, the brand has introduced new-energy models under the Exlantix sub-brand. These include the ET SUV and the ES sedan, both of which use range-extended electric technology. This architecture allows drivers to travel on electric power for everyday journeys while a petrol engine extends the total range, reducing the anxiety that can come with fully battery-electric vehicles in markets where public charging infrastructure is still maturing.

The Exlantix models represent Exeed’s most direct entry into the electrified premium space. By keeping them under a distinct sub-brand, Exeed can position them separately while still benefiting from the wider brand’s growing recognition across the region.

Why does the UAE suit Exeed’s strategy?

The UAE has emerged as one of the more receptive markets in the region for premium electrified vehicles. Customers here have shown willingness to consider Chinese brands when the product quality and after-sales network meet expectations. Exeed is attempting to meet both criteria simultaneously, investing in showrooms while expanding the model range.

The broader market context supports this approach. Buyers are increasingly looking for vehicles that offer longer electric or hybrid range, more sophisticated cabin technology, and a credible path away from petrol-only ownership. Exeed’s product roadmap addresses each of these priorities in sequence. The VX Super Hybrid targets those who want efficiency without committing fully to electric. The Exlantix models cater to buyers ready to move further along that journey.

Where does Exeed sit within the premium segment?

The premium electrified segment in the UAE is becoming more competitive. Established European and Asian brands are all expanding their hybrid and electric ranges. Exeed enters this space with a different proposition: Chinese engineering and design at a price point that undercuts many European rivals, paired with a retail and service network designed to reassure buyers who might be cautious about newer market entrants.

The Sharjah showroom and the forthcoming model launches are consistent with a brand that is thinking about the UAE as a long-term market rather than an opportunistic one. The sequencing of retail investment alongside product expansion suggests Exeed is building the infrastructure needed to support sustained growth rather than short-term volume.

That combination of physical presence and product breadth will be tested as the year progresses and the new models arrive. For now, the direction is clear.
