Electric Elliot watches a solar car come together

Electric Elliot heads to China to see how a tiny car with a sliding solar roof gets built.

YouTuber Electric Elliot has visited Solarky’s factory in Zhengzhou, China, to watch the SunV being put together. The company invited him after his earlier SunV video did well. His film, posted on 30 October, follows the cars as they are assembled and readied for shipping around the world. The solar car carries a 10.2 kWh LFP battery and a 15 kW motor, with a top speed of 80 km/h. Solarky claims up to about 150 km of range from the battery. Two roof panels add about 50 km in good sun, and one slides out to double the area to 3.2 sq m when parked.
