Chery’s premium brand EXEED has launched its first all-electric and hybrid models in the UAE. The unveiling featured the EXLANTIX ET SUV, EXLANTIX ES sedan, and RX Plug-in Hybrid SUV, expanding the region’s options for clean mobility and reinforcing the UAE’s transition towards sustainable transport.
The vehicles were introduced at two high-profile events; a public reveal at Dubai’s Skydive facility and the opening of EXEED’s flagship electrified showroom on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche Street. These launches reflect the growing importance of both innovation and localisation in EV strategy, with EXEED specifically highlighting performance under extreme temperatures and long-range capabilities.
Flagship Models Aim for Extended Range and Speed
Leading EXEED’s electric line-up is the EXLANTIX ET, an all-electric SUV offering both pure battery electric and range-extended configurations. The ET uses Golden Range Extender Technology to deliver a combined range exceeding 1,000 kilometres — a noteworthy figure in a market where charging infrastructure is still maturing. Designed to reduce range anxiety, the ET combines practical performance with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.9 seconds.
The EXLANTIX ET is equipped with adaptive air suspension, Arabic voice control, and a fully digital cockpit with integrated driver assistance. Its low drag coefficient of 0.266Cd supports aerodynamic efficiency, while design elements such as frameless doors, pop-out handles, and a continuous LED rear light bar contribute to a modern aesthetic.
Meanwhile, the EXLANTIX ES sedan mirrors this focus on aerodynamics with a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.205Cd. Offered in three variants — including the REEV Pro and top-tier BEV Ultra — the ES delivers a power range from 261hp up to 473hp. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds in its top variant and offers a maximum electric driving range of up to 520 kilometres.
Inside, the ES features a sporty coupe-like silhouette with a low-slung roofline, flush door handles, and 21-inch alloy wheels. The cabin prioritises comfort and technology, with soft-touch materials, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Hybrid Option Tailored for Harsh Climates
Complementing the all-electric models, EXEED’s RX Plug-in Hybrid SUV integrates a Super Hybrid REEV system. It delivers a combined driving range of over 1,300 kilometres and features an 11-mode, three-speed hybrid transmission capable of generating 445kW of power. Engineered for performance across the UAE’s climatic extremes — from -35°C to 60°C — the RX incorporates safety-focused technologies including a fast-response CATL battery and M3P-based diagnostic systems.
The RX positions itself as a versatile option for drivers who want electrified performance without full reliance on charging infrastructure. This aligns with the region’s current transitional stage, where hybrids continue to appeal to consumers seeking lower emissions without compromising range or convenience.
Market Positioning and Availability
EXEED’s electric push includes competitive pricing across its model range. The ES sedan starts at AED 149,999, while the ET SUV ranges from AED 179,999 to AED 229,999. All variants feature dual-motor configurations with all-wheel drive and rapid acceleration, signalling the brand’s intent to compete with established players such as Tesla, BYD, and Audi.
To support customer confidence, EXEED offers a seven-year or 200,000-kilometre warranty on all vehicles, alongside an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty on battery packs.
EXEED vehicles are now available through showrooms in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah. The new flagship showroom in the capital serves as a hub for customer engagement, showcasing the brand’s electrified range and allowing potential buyers to explore key features and technologies firsthand.
Growing Options for UAE EV Buyers
EXEED’s debut in the UAE’s EV market comes at a time of rising consumer interest and policy support for clean transportation. With a product strategy that blends long-range capabilities, luxury features, and regional adaptability, the brand aims to carve out a niche in the premium segment.
The introduction of the ES, ET, and RX models underscores the expanding diversity of electrified vehicles available in the Gulf, offering more tailored choices for a region with distinct climate, infrastructure, and mobility needs. As the UAE and neighbouring markets continue investing in EV adoption, EXEED’s entry reflects a broader momentum — one where new players are not just entering the scene, but reshaping expectations around what electric mobility can offer in the Middle East.
