Cadillac is executing a two-track Gulf strategy. It has refreshed the CT5 range, including the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, and brought the all-electric LYRIQ to regional showrooms. The goal is simple. Keep the petrol halo alive while accelerating premium electrification.
What exactly has Cadillac launched in the region?
Cadillac Middle East launched the updated CT5 family and the LYRIQ together on July 23, 2025. The CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing headline the combustion side. The LYRIQ anchors the electric line-up. This pairing formalises Cadillac’s dual-path approach in Gulf markets.
What changed on the 2025 CT5?
The CT5 gets a new front fascia and the brand’s 33-inch LED display. It also gains more standard active safety, including Blind Zone Steering Assist and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking. Google built-in comes as standard. Cadillac says these updates “bring a revised look and the latest technology and safety features.”
Are the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing included?
Yes. The CT5-V keeps a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 rated at 355 hp and 550 Nm. The CT5-V Blackwing retains its supercharged 6.2-litre V8 at 668 hp and 893 Nm. Both add the new 33-inch display and track-focused software such as an enhanced Performance Data Recorder.
What are the UAE prices?
Cadillac UAE lists the 2025 CT5 from AED 224,000, the CT5-V from AED 282,000, and the CT5-V Blackwing from AED 401,000. The LYRIQ appears with an MSRP starting from AED 325,000.

Cadillac fits LYRIQ and CT5 with Super Cruise hardware, but it flags a regional limitation. The company’s UAE website states: “This vehicle is equipped with Super Cruise (SC) hardware; however, the SC service is currently inactive.” Activation depends on local regulations.
What has Cadillac said about this dual path?
Cadillac outlined its regional “ambidextrous” plan in 2021. It would grow core combustion models while driving an all-electric future led by LYRIQ. Kristian Aquilina said: “The Middle East is Cadillac’s largest market outside China and North America… Cadillac has a long and rich legacy of engineering cutting-edge technology and unbeatable performance, packaged in world-class luxury vehicles that beat customer expectations with every launch.”
On the performance side, Global Cadillac chief John Roth said in 2024: “Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year… As V-Series celebrates a record year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated.”
Jamie Brewer, LYRIQ chief engineer, added: “The Cadillac LYRIQ is in a class of its own, setting a new benchmark in both the luxury and EV space… The Ultium Battery architecture has undergone extensive testing in extreme heat and on off-road trails, and performs exceptionally.”
How should Gulf buyers read Cadillac’s move?
Cadillac is keeping its combustion flagship sedan line visible, while giving EV customers a premium SUV with strong range and charging performance. The combined launch timetable and clear pricing in the UAE signal real showroom intent. KSA distribution is in place through Aljomaih. The strategy targets both loyal V-Series drivers and first-time EV buyers although it shows the US company definitely hedging its bets.
