Volvo EX30 is a top choice compact SUV

The EX30, the smallest model in Volvo’s fleet, has been available for a couple of months in the UAE.  And more and more are visible on the roads, suggesting that this sophisticated, compact SUV is going down well.

The car combines sleek Scandinavian design with innovative eco-friendly materials. The interiors feature an array of recycled and responsibly sourced elements, including denim and flax, showcasing Volvo’s commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising on elegance. This model reflects a broader trend in luxury driving where the emphasis is placed less on sheer opulence and more on the impact of our choices on global sustainability.

The fully electric Volvo EX30 is available through a limited time offer starting from AED 129,900 or AED 1,799/month at the moment.

We’re not the only ones to rate the EX30: it was crowned the 2024 World Urban Car at the New York International Auto Show earlier in the year. “Winning this award with the EX30 is incredibly gratifying and a firm validation of our ambitious electrification strategy,” said Jim Rowan, Chief Executive, Volvo Cars-. “Customer response to the EX30 has exceeded our expectations, and it has proven to be a perfect car for today’s marketplace as a growing number of car buyers switch to fully electric cars. I’m convinced the EX30 will strongly contribute to our growth this year and beyond.”

Key technological features of the EX30 include a minimalist 12.3-inch tablet display that provides seamless integration with Google and Apple CarPlay, enhancing connectivity for modern drivers. Adding to its allure is the smart digital key system — an innovation that allows drivers to access their vehicle using just their smartphones, an undeniably convenient feature for the multitasking commuter.

Safety remains a pivotal component of the EX30’s offering. Volvo has incorporated cutting-edge safety technologies that detect and respond to potential road hazards in real-time, affirming its dedication to driver and passenger security. This, combined with a panoramic glass roof and strategically designed soundbar speaker system that optimises cabin space, redefines the driving experience, making it both safe and aesthetically pleasing.

Regarding performance, the EX30 is available in two variants: the Single Motor Extended Range and the Twin Motor Performance. The Single Motor variant offers a range of 480 km per charge with a power output of 200 kW, while the Twin Motor Performance option delivers 315 kW with a range of 460 km. These specifications ensure that the EX30 provides a dynamic yet silent driving experience, enhancing Volvo’s reputation for marrying performance with environmental consciousness.

Charging efficiency has also been a focal point, with both versions capable of charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, thus addressing the practical needs of electric vehicle users without demanding lengthy downtimes.

All-in-all, the Volvo EX30 is a great car that combines Swedish good looks and strong performance, without breaking the bank.
