Seres 7 now available in UAE

Seres has announced the launch of its latest model, the 2024 Seres 7, in the UAE. This launch is part of Seres’ strategic expansion of its Aito brand beyond the Chinese market, where the model is marketed as the Aito M7. The UAE debut marks a significant step in Aito’s overseas expansion plan.

The 2024 Seres 7 comes in a range of five trims, offering both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations, as well as options for 5-seater and 6-seater variants. Prices for this model range from 210,000 AED to 260,000 AED.

The specifics of the 2024 Seres 7, or Aito M7 Pro, are particularly noteworthy due to its advanced design and technology. The vehicle doesn’t have roof lidar, unlike other models such as the Aito M7 Ultra, which includes a 192-line lidar on its roof. The car is, however, equipped with sophisticated systems, including forward collision warning, blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, and hill descent control.

The vehicle measures 5020 mm in length, 1945 mm in width, and 1760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. Depending on the trim, the car’s curb weight is either 2370 kg or 2460 kg. The 6-seater version offers a standard trunk volume of 188 litres, while the 5-seater provides 686 litres of trunk space.

In terms of performance, the RWD variant of the Seres 7 features a 1.5T engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering 196 kW (263 hp) and 354 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. The AWD model enhances performance with the addition of a front motor, boosting combined system power to 323 kW (433 hp) and torque to 654 Nm, reducing the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time to just 4.8 seconds. Both variants come with a 60-litre fuel tank and are equipped with 40 kWh ternary lithium battery packs, providing a WLTP combined range of 1,150 km for the RWD and 1,050 km for the AWD.

Inside, the Seres 7 offers a high-tech cockpit experience, featuring a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel alongside a 2K 15.6-inch central control screen and a head-up display (HUD). Other notable features include wireless charging, ambient lighting, an 11-speaker Seres sound system, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay.

Aito’s performance in the market has seen positive momentum, with a reported delivery of 35,560 new vehicles in September, marking a 13.9% increase compared to the previous month. The total deliveries for the first nine months of 2024 have reached 289,508 vehicles, reflecting the brand’s robust growth trajectory.
