Jeep has introduced its first global electric SUV, the Wagoneer S, featuring a 100kWh battery that offers an estimated range of over 480 km. The vehicle can achieve a 0-80% charge in 28 minutes using a DC fast charger. Equipped with twin electric motors producing 608bhp, the Wagoneer S can accelerate from 0-100kph in a blistering 3.2 seconds.
Antonio Filosa, Jeep Brand CEO, stated that the Wagoneer S marks a significant milestone for Jeep, introducing an all-electric experience to new global markets. The SUV utilizes Stellantis’ STLA Large Platform and includes adjustable elements for improved performance.
The Wagoneer S offers four-wheel drive and five driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand. The vehicle features a redesigned enclosed seven-slot grille for better airflow, a sloping roofline for drag efficiency, and a floating-effect rear wing. Jeep claims this model is its most aerodynamic to date.
Inside, the Wagoneer S boasts a digital cockpit, a full-width ‘Cross-Car Wing Sculpture’ display, a 12.3-inch central display, and a twin-spoke flat bottom steering wheel. Pricing and the UK release date are yet to be announced, but the SUV is expected to hit the US market in the second half of 2024 and arrive in international markets on a phased basis after that.
