The P7+ arrives in the UAE with an AI-driven platform, fast charging, and a starting price of AED164,000.
What Is the P7+ and Who Is It For?
XPENG has launched the P7+ in the United Arab Emirates. The car is a fastback electric sedan built around an AI-led architecture. XPENG describes it as the first model in its line-up designed with this approach from the ground up.
The P7+ targets buyers who want executive comfort alongside practical space. Its wheelbase measures 3,000mm. Boot capacity is 573 litres, and that grows to 1,931 litres with the rear seats folded flat. For example, the cabin includes Nappa leather, a microfibre suede headliner, and 35 storage spaces. XPENG calls this interior concept “Cloud-space”.
What Technology Does the P7+ Carry?
The P7+ runs on XPENG’s XOS 5.4 software. The car also carries the AI Hawkeye visual system and the company’s proprietary X-GPT voice model. In addition, XPENG has fitted the Turing AI chip and its XPILOT ASSIST driver assistance system.
XPILOT ASSIST includes 14 active safety functions. XPENG says the system gives faster processing and more natural interaction inside the cabin. Consequently, the driver assistance setup responds more quickly to changing conditions on the road.
How Fast Does the P7+ Charge?
The P7+ sits on XPENG’s 800V silicon carbide platform. This architecture gives the car its rapid charging capability. From 10 to 80 per cent, the battery charges in 12 minutes.
That figure has clear practical value for drivers in the UAE. Inter-emirate journeys can run long. Therefore, a 12-minute charge stop is close to a conventional refuel in total time. Dubai is also expanding its public charging network, so drivers have growing access to compatible infrastructure.
How Does the UAE Market Shape This Launch?
The timing of the P7+’s arrival matters for several reasons. Gulf News reported earlier this month that petrol and diesel prices in the UAE were cut for July. That came after four straight months of price rises. With the volatlity, the cost difference (advantage) of electric motoring has become more visible to everyday commuters.
Meanwhile, the UAE has set long-term targets for growing its electric vehicle fleet over the next quarter-century. Government investment in charging infrastructure continues to rise. However, the market still requires manufacturers to present strong real-world cases for switching from combustion vehicles. XPENG is making its case through charging speed, cabin space, and technology depth.
What Does the P7+ Cost and Where Can Buyers See It?
The P7+ is on sale in the UAE from AED164,000. Showrooms across the country offer test drives. XPENG has made the car available to view and configure through its UAE retail network.
At that price, the P7+ competes in a segment that has grown considerably in the Gulf region. Premium electric sedans from European and Asian manufacturers now sit alongside one another in UAE showrooms. In contrast to some rivals in this bracket, the P7+ places particular weight on interior volume and AI integration as its main differentiators. Buyers looking for a large-cabin electric car with fast charging therefore have a new option to consider at this price point.
