LUXEED demonstrates self-parking valet tech in Dubai

Chery Group’s premium electric brand LUXEED has introduced its Super Intelligent Valet Parking system on the R7 saloon, giving Middle East buyers a car that can park itself and be summoned by phone. The debut follows the brand’s first global media test drive, held in Dubai on 9 July 2026.

What is the SIVP system?

The Super Intelligent Valet Parking system, or SIVP, handles parking from start to finish. According to LUXEED, it covers both autonomous parking and remote vehicle retrieval. The company describes it as a core feature engineered for premium urban driving.

The maker says the system builds on existing intelligent mobility technology. It aims to reduce the everyday hassle of finding and leaving a parking space.

How does the app control work?

Owners control the R7 through a dedicated mobile app. They can summon the car from its bay to a chosen pickup spot. During the sequence, the vehicle follows traffic flow and detects obstacles, and it adjusts its speed as needed.

Meanwhile, live feeds from four onboard cameras stream to the owner’s phone. A one-touch emergency stop can halt the car instantly. So the driver stays informed throughout the manoeuvre.

Once parking finishes, the system locks the car, closes the windows and shuts down the powertrain. As a result, LUXEED describes the cycle as fully unmanned.

How does the car sense its surroundings?

The R7 relies on a 360-degree perception suite for parking. It combines several high-definition surround-view cameras, millimetre-wave radars and ultrasonic radars. Together, these sensors identify obstacles, pedestrians, passing vehicles, curbs and parking bay markings.

Furthermore, the car slows to yield to pedestrians and reverses to let oncoming cars pass on narrow driveways. It also reduces speed when it detects parking attendants, which helps prevent collisions. After entering tight spaces, the system folds the side mirrors to cut the risk of scratches.

Why does this matter for Gulf buyers?

LUXEED sits within Chery Group as a premium brand. Accordingly, the company positions the R7 as a premium urban mobility vehicle, and it frames SIVP as a digital version of hotel valet parking.

By replacing a human valet with driving assistance technology, LUXEED says the system protects owners’ privacy. Moreover, it targets busy settings such as underground garages, financial districts and luxury hotels.

The launch signals the brand’s push into the premium electric vehicle segment across global markets. For UAE buyers specifically, the Dubai test drive marks LUXEED’s first public showing of the technology.

What details are still missing?

The announcement focuses on the parking system rather than the wider car. Notably, LUXEED did not confirm range, power output, charging speed or price in this material. It also did not give a firm on-sale date for the region.

As a result, buyers keen on the R7 will need to wait for further detail. For now, the company has shared contact information through its International Brand Department for anyone seeking more.
Because the figures above come from LUXEED, they should be read as manufacturer statements rather than independent test results.

Once the R7 reaches customers, its parking performance can be checked in real driveways and car parks. Until then, the Dubai debut offers a first look at how Chery Group plans to court affluent Gulf motorists.
