Zeekr’s refreshed 007 models set new benchmarks

Geely’s premium electric brand Zeekr has opened pre-sales in China for refreshed versions of its 007 sedan and 007 GT shooting brake as it pushes to sustain a recent rebound in deliveries.

The revised 007 range represents a technical leap for Zeekr, with the models adopting a 900-volt high-voltage architecture intended to raise peak power and substantially shorten charging time. Manufacturer specifications reveal two battery capacities, 75 kWh and 103 kWh, and a quoted maximum range of up to 905 kilometres, placing the refreshed models among the longest-range EVs currently offered in China. Industry reporting notes the new electrical system enables super-fast charging at up to 6C, with charge times from 10% to 80% running at roughly 10 minutes.

Performance figures underline Zeekr’s sporty ambitions for the facelift. The updated 007 is offered in single-motor and dual-motor formats; the single-motor option is claimed to produce up to 370 kW while the dual-motor configuration pairs that with a front motor rated at 215 kW. Zeekr asserts the dual-motor variant can sprint from 0-100 km/h in about 2.73 seconds, putting it squarely in high-performance territory for battery-electric sedans.

Beyond raw power and range, the refreshed models upgrade their driver assistance hardware. Zeekr has equipped the new 007 series with the Nvidia Drive Thor-U smart driving chip and the latest G-Pilot assisted-driving software, a move aimed at improving advanced driver-assistance functionality and supporting future feature growth. Trade coverage frames this as part of a wider trend among Chinese EV makers to combine high-voltage electrical systems with more capable compute stacks.

Pricing for the updated models was presented alongside the pre-sales announcement. The current Zeekr 007 line-up has carried a suggested retail range from about 209,900 yuan to 299,900 yuan, while 007 GT variants have previously started from roughly 202,900 yuan to 232,900 yuan. Local reporting has flagged the possibility of price adjustments for the facelifted 007 GT, with one domestic outlet linking a potential increase to higher memory chip and battery costs.

The roll-out comes as Zeekr’s sales momentum has strengthened. Company data released in late March showed brand deliveries of 29,318 units for that month, an increase of more than 90 per cent year-on-year and a near 23 per cent rise from February, lifting first-quarter shipments to 77,037 units and pushing cumulative global deliveries close to 720,000 units.

Zeekr’s product calendar beyond the 007 refresh signals a busy spring and summer. The automaker plans an updated 009 flagship MPV in the second quarter and launched pre-sales for a second hybrid SUV, the Zeekr 8X, advertised with a starting price around 376,800 yuan. At the same April launch event the company also revealed a limited Zeekr 001 5th Anniversary edition featuring chassis and luxury upgrades, amounting to a broad refresh strategy intended to widen Zeekr’s appeal across performance, luxury and family segments.
